While many
people advocate for the needs they have when they are
harassed and troubled by Government, Rev. Kevin Brown as a
preacher operating an outreach ministry provides spiritual
and practical guidance, counsel and advocacy for "the least
among us." He purposefully remains independent of party
affiliation to be able to speak from and towards both sides
when they are violating basic civil liberties. Issues
become target points when the numbers who seek his
compassionate and Christ Centered care increase to take
special note that a crisis is upon community. On many
occasions he will participate in special interest
organizations, however he maintains an independent, non
affiliated position to remain above the fray we experience
in a National Culture dividing itself into Liberal and
Conservative segments. Where ever common people are
troubled you will find Rev. Kevin Brown, either educating,
consulting, speaking out at local, state and federal level
meetings. His personal political position is plainly
centered and leans minimally in both directions. Self
admitted he leans conservative on fiscal issues, and never
had a silver spoon in any of his budgets. He believes in
the rights of faith in all public dialogue and fights for
the rights of the afflicted in all civil rights issues. A
former union negotiator, retail business man, who has
dedicated his entire life to the ministry of Jesus Christ.
He founded the Lighthouse Institute For Evangelism, (LIFE)
Inc. in 1990 - He resides & is headquartered in Long Branch,
NJ where he operates the Lighthouse Mission and publishes
internet web pages and is the online host of
The Electric News.
Loves to travel to The Greater Kansas City Area, where he
has family. He speaks when invited in many different forums
and has not written any books. He was born in Brooklyn, NY
in 1952 of second generation Italian and Irish immigrants. A
graduate of the City University of New York, where he has a
Public Accounting Degree. His further education in pastoral
care was performed as a 10 year member of a Faith Christian
Fellowship church. He has three daughters and three
granddaughters. He has once run for Mayor of Long Branch,
NJ in 2006 and lost. Rarely, but upon occasion you may
catch him on stage without pulpit, for his passion has been
community theatre since childhood where he has written short
plays, directed, produced and even performed. Ordained a
Baptist Preacher, he embraces the Pentecostal movement and
calls himself a 'Bapticostal Evangelist.' He also embraces
Catholicism and Judean Traditions, for it was the faith of
his parents and Jewish stepfather that inspired his
spirituality.
